Real or Fake?

Today in our Cybersmart lesson we were looking at images and deciding if they were real or fake.

Then we created a fake animal ourselves by combining 2 animals together. We removed backgrounds and used the magic eraser so we only had the parts we needed. We added a background so it looked real.

Then we made an image of an animal in a place where you wouldn’t usually wouldn’t see them. Some of us used a short video and we could remove the background on this as well. Some of us used custom animation to make a still image move.

What is Media?

Today in our Cybersmart lesson we were thinking about Media, what it is, where we see it and what we use. Then we used Canva and created a video about the media we use. We had to search for icons or images. We added them and thought about animating them so they move and catch our eye. We added a background that fits and doesn’t take over the design. We had to rename our project and share it into a folder so our teacher can see our work. We also added audio to complete the design.

Using our Chromebook to do the Mahi

Today in our Cybersmart lesson we turned on 2 accessibility features on our Chromebooks: Select-to-speak & Dictation.

Select-to-speak enables us to select some text on our screen and our Chromebook will read it to us. This can be a word, a sentence, a paragraph or a whole page.

Dictation allows us to speak to our device and it will type the text for us.

We practised using these 2 features today to read about birds and answer some questions.
